PRICING AND TERMS  (Effective:  October 1, 2004)

TERMS:  Prices are FOB Seattle.  Payment terms are net invoice amount, due 30 days after date of invoice.  Dealers may discount the net price by an additional 5% if full payment is included with the order.  We add a finance charge of 1.5% per month to balances past 30 days.

SHIPPING: Books are shipped ‘best way’ usually via UPS or USPS.  If requested, we can ship via other carriers and modes though the cost is usually higher.

CREDIT:  Orders over $50 require prepayment without advance credit approval.  To establish a higher credit limit, please send bank and trade references to credit@AbsoluteBusiness.com.

SHORTAGES AND NON-RECEIPTS:  Please report discrepancies between invoice and packing list quantities within 30 days of invoice date, 60 days on shipments outside the U.S.

RESALE NUMBERS:  Dealers located in Washington State must include a resale number with their order.  Otherwise, sales tax of 8..8% will be added to the invoice amount.

BOOKS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT:  Please file a claim with the carrier.  We are not responsible for damage to goods once they leave our dock.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS:  Photographs, brochures and other promotional materials are available in the Press Room on this website.  Dealers are free to use this material in catalogs and other marketing publications.  Hardcopy materials are also available upon request.

DISTRIBUTION:  Our trade paperback books are available through the following distributors.  If your distributor is not listed, please contact us and we will attempt to add them to the list.

RETURN POLICY

 

OUR BOOKS ARE RETURNABLE:  We appreciate your giving our title a chance in your store.  But if it is not moving, we want to get it back before a new edition makes it obsolete.  Our policy is to accept returns after 90 DAYS and before ONE YEAR of our invoice date.  

CONDITIONS OF REFUND:  To qualify for refund, returned books must be received in AS-NEW,  RESALABLE CONDITION.  If they are not now resalable or you are not able to package them properly for the return trip, please don’t waste the time and money to return them.

RETURN PROCEDURES:

a.  Obtain a Return Authorization Number.  Before returning books, please contact us by email (returns@AbsoluteBusiness.com) or by phone (206-441-2067) to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number.  Our policy is to refuse return shipments without an RA number written on the outside of the package.

b.  Include Documentation.  Returns must include a packing slip listing quantity, title, author, and original invoice number and date.  Books returned with this information will receive a 100% credit of the invoice price minus shipping.  Otherwise, we will assume a price discount of 65 percent.  Occasionally books are returned to us that were purchased from a wholesaler and we must ship them back; please return books to the place where you bought them.

c.  Suggested Packaging.  Books not properly packed usually arrive scuffed or otherwise damaged.  We suggest you wrap them tightly in plastic and pack them in a properly sized box, stuffed tightly with padding.  Please do not Jiffy bags or the like because the books almost always arrive damaged and cannot be resold (or credited).

d.  Return Routing.   Ship books via parcel post (book rate) prepaid or UPS prepaid to:  Absolute Business Services Inc., ATTN: Tom Eckmann, 505 W. Mercer Place #102, Seattle, WA 98119.  Note:  This is not the same as our order address.

e.  Refund.  We issue refund checks payable to the business listed on the original invoice.
